Car was great, very surprised at how nippy the 30tfsi is as I drive a 2.0 litre diesel Q3 at present. Sline model has a lot of good features on it including the virtual dash and was surprisingly roomy for a smaller car. The car was competitively priced. I have a Quattro and would prefer a Q2 quattro, this is only reason I was put off as the one I test drove was a front wheel drive.

The Q2 is to expensive for what you get compared to other small cars in the same category. You are definitely paying for the badge

Lovely compact car, drive beautifully and smoothly. All u need is there ,SatNav,speed control, parking sensors, cruise control,-nothing too much,- nice interior, good size boot space.,maybe only issue is the space at the back seat, as its compact is a bit tight.otherwise its a lovely car.

Audi Q2 (2016-2025) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| The interior is a cut above | Cramped rear seats and modest boot space |
| Most engines are fuel efficient | Firmer ride of S Line models |
| Quirky styling makes a change from Audi's usual conservatism | It's an expensive used buy |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q2 (2016-2025) is the entry-level SUV in Audi's successful line-up and one of the company's biggest sellers. Its quirkily styled exterior, featuring bold creases and a prominent grille, sets it apart from Audi's typically conservative design language. The Q2 taps perfectly into the current compact crossover and SUV market, appealing to buyers seeking a premium badge with contemporary styling. Whilst not the most spacious in its class, with tight rear seats and only average boot space compared to rivals like the BMW X1, it remains practical enough for families and daily commuting.
The Q2 excels in interior quality, delivering a cabin that reeks of dignified class with excellent material quality and fit and finish. The user-friendly dashboard features an MMI dial-controlled infotainment screen, Virtual Cockpit instrumentation, and physical buttons for essential controls, complemented by standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Most petrol engines are fuel efficient, with the 35 TFSI manual returning 44.1-47.9mpg, whilst the 35 TDI diesel achieves 48.7-50.4mpg. To drive, the Q2 is competent and composed, with light steering and acceptable ride comfort, though it's unlikely to excite purely for dynamic excellence. The hot SQ2 version offers 295bhp for those seeking thrills.
Best for: Buyers seeking a premium-badged compact SUV with excellent interior quality, those prioritising fuel efficiency and easy-to-use controls, and families needing a stylish daily driver. Not ideal for: Those requiring maximum rear seat space or boot capacity, buyers on a tight budget, or drivers seeking the finest handling dynamics in the compact SUV segment.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audi Q2 | 4/5 | 4.0/5 | 41.7% | 4.4/5 |

| MINI Countryman | 4/5 | 4.6/5 | 38.7% | 4.5/5 |
The Verdict
You should buy the Q2 if: You're seeking a premium-badged compact SUV with excellent interior quality, prioritising fuel efficiency and user-friendly controls, or wanting a stylish daily driver for families. Consider alternatives if: You require maximum rear seat space or boot capacity, are on a tight budget, or seek the finest handling dynamics in the compact SUV segment. Competitive Position: The Audi Q2 is a strong contender in the compact SUV market, offering excellent interior quality and user-friendly technology that rivals struggle to match. Whilst the Mercedes-Benz GLA and Volkswagen T-Roc score higher with users, and the T-Roc and MINI Countryman offer better practicality, the Q2's distinctive styling and premium cabin make it a compelling choice. Its good value proposition, with 41.7% of listings representing good or great deals, combined with strong residual values, makes it an attractive proposition for buyers willing to pay a premium for Audi's interior excellence and efficient engines.
