At more than 4.7 metres long, it’s not physically so compact, but is still priced in line with top-selling rivals such as the __[Nissan Qashqai](https://www.cargurus.co.uk/research/Nissan-Qashqai-2021-mg527)__. The Sealion 5 also offers plug-in hybrid petrol power as standard, with a fully electric range of up to 53 miles. BYD reckons it’ll be one of the most popular new cars it sells, and while it lacks polish in some areas, the combination of pricing and hybrid tech should boost its appeal.
